Lateisha is a London based poet/writer, facilitator, creative producer/director and actor. As a spoken word poet /playwright she currently receives support from ‘Spread The Word’ literary charity. She is also a member of the prestigious Soho Theatre Writers Lab currently writing her second poetry play 'S/he Breathe/s'. She’s been a featured poet at Green Man Festival 2016, a Roundhouse Slam - Finalist (2015), Hammer & Tongue Team Slam - Finalist (2014) and been commissioned by Apples and Snakes.
Lateisha is currently working on our Phoenix Project running weekly poetry projects with homeless people at the 999 Club in Deptford.
Annie writes poems and fiction about people and their eccentricities- sometimes, including herself in the mix. London Writers Award recipient for poetry 2018 She is also a Barbican Young Poet 2017-2018, and has lately graduated from the University of Oxford, where she read English. When she was younger, she won the BBC Proms Young Poet 2011, and was a runner up for Times Young Poet 2012. She was shortlisted for the Martin Starkie prize 2016, and has been published in the online journal The Kindling, as well as the student papers: the ISIS, the Oxford Review of Books, Oxstu, Cherwell and Panopticon, and participated in the Seven Voices project.
Annie is currently running weekly poetry workshops with homeless people in collaboration with CRISIS Brent.
